Aligner Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

 

Thanks for using Aligner! We help companies to keep their multilingual content easily up to date and therefore spread your word much faster.

Following we describe how we collect, use, and keep your data when you use our websites, software, and services (“Services”).

 

2. What type of data do we collect?

We may collect and use the following data to provide, improve, and protect our Services:

 

  • General information and contacts – we collect your name, address, date of birth, phone number, e-mail address, etc. and associate this data with your account;

  • Your Items – our Services enable you to manage your multilingual files, documents and other data (“Your Items”) and collaborate with others to achieve your goals. We protect Your Items as well as information related to it;

  • Usage information – related to your usage pattern of the Services, for example, actions you take in your account (like sharing, editing, viewing, and moving files or folders) and use this to improve our Services and protect our users.

  • Device information – related to the devices you use to access the Services, including IP addresses, type of browser, the device you use, and so on.

  • We also collect other types of information through cookies like browser information, time of visit, referring site etc. 

 

3. How do we collect personal data?

We may collect personal information in a variety of ways, for example:

  • Online channels: We may collect personal data through our Digital Channels, e.g., when you subscribe to a newsletter, register for a webinar, contact us, download content from our channels, or register to use a Service.

  • Offline: We may collect personal data when you visit our booth at one of the events, during phone calls, or when you contact our customer service.

  • Information from third parties: we aim to provide relevant marketing, offers, and services to you, we may obtain information about you from third sources.

 

4. Why we collect your data?

 

We collect the data described above to provide you with the Services in a reliable and secure manner, as well as for our legitimate business needs.

We give users the option to use some of our Services free of charge. In case you use our free Services, we leave the right to send you information about upgrades and plans. You can opt out at any time in the notifications section of your account.

 

We may collect and share your personal data with other companies for the purposes of:

  • performing our contractual obligations and the obligations set forth by applicable law and regulatory authorities;

  • enhance your user experience and provide you with more user-friendly services;

  • providing and administering access to services that you have requested;

  • answering customer service matters and correcting mistakes;

  • providing personalized offerings, recommendations, and advertisements based on data we have about you;

We are the main processor of your data and share it with third parties.

Aligner uses certain trusted third parties such as Maksekeskus AS for automated payment for the purposes of processing your payment. These third parties will access your data only to perform tasks on our behalf in compliance with this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose your data to third parties when required by law or court order, but we do not sell it to advertisers or other third parties. Our actions have a purpose to protect all our users and provide trusted services.

 

Our team is dedicated to keeping your information secure and testing for vulnerabilities. We also continue to work on features to keep your information safe.

 

6. For how long we store your data?

We will retain your data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When your data is no longer relevant for the purposes for which it has been collected, we will erase or anonymize it.

7. What methods do we use to secure your data?

We have implemented organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect your data within our organization.

 

While we take reasonable steps to secure your personal information, you should be aware that no security procedures or protocols are guaranteed to be 100 percent secure from hacking or third party interruption. We realize there is still some risk occurring by sharing any information online.

8. Possible changes to this Privacy Policy

If necessary, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The dates at the beginning of this page indicate when this Privacy Policy was last revised and confirmed.

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Sites. Substantial changes in our Privacy Policy will be notified at least 14 days before they become effective.

We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably possible.

  • there might be some latency in deleting your data from our servers and back-up storage;
